What's New in DNSLister for October 2026: Word Pairs, Faster Lookups, and a Smarter Quick Lookup
Reviewed 2026-10-06
DNSLister ships small improvements almost every day. This post rounds up October's, the ones that change how a domain search feels. Missed earlier months? See August and September.
Word Pairs: about 4,000 two-word ideas
Two short words are still one of the best ways to find a brandable .com that's free. Word Pairs gives you 30 themes, such as Tech x Nature, Colors x Gems, Music x Food and Space x Everyday, with about 4,000 ready-made pairs between them.
- Pick a theme on the left. Each one shows how many pairs it holds.
- Shuffle for a fresh page of 15.
- Click the pencil on any pair to swap either word for another from the same side of the theme, flip the order, or reset it.
- Each side links to the matching word lists, so when a theme clicks you can run a full search on it.
Lookups start sooner
Big searches used to wait sometimes before the first availability check began, up to a minute and occasionally much longer, while other workers sat idle. Now any free worker picks up a waiting search after 15 seconds. Most searches show their first results noticeably sooner.
A Visit button for taken domains
When a name is taken, the next question is usually "taken by what?" Taken rows in your results, and taken names in Quick Lookup, now have a Visit button that opens the site in a new tab. You can see right away whether it's a live business, a parked page, or nothing at all.
Quick Lookup understands a bare word
Type pizzahub with no ending into Quick Lookup and it checks pizzahub.com, with a pointer to TLD Sweep if you want to check other endings too.
Clearer results
- A search with many endings can show its "lookups per 5 minutes" chart as one combined chart instead of one per ending.
- A fully-taken name used to show a Domain Score of 0, which only tells you nothing is available. It now shows a "what if?" link with the score that name would have if it were free.
- Searches started from a tool are named after the word you used, e.g. "Character Swap: bingobandana", so they're easy to find in your search history.
Sign up without losing your search
If you build a search in the Search Builder before you have an account, your choices (search type, word lists, endings) now carry through sign-up. You land back on the same filled-in form, ready to run.
