What's New in DNSLister for November 2026: Just the Website, List Finder and Name Mashup
Published 2026-11-04 · By Aaron Kempf
DNSLister ships small improvements almost every day. This post rounds up November's so far, and we'll add to it as the month goes on. Missed earlier months? See July, August, September and October.
The theme this month is where your words come from. A domain search is only as good as the word lists you feed it, so two of the three big additions are new ways to build those lists.
Just the Website: turn any site into keywords
Type a website and Just the Website lists the keywords and phrases that site is really about, strongest first. It weighs the page title, main heading and page addresses most, because those are the lines a site owner writes on purpose.
- Each keyword links to word lists about it, name ideas built from it, and a .com check.
- Tick the ones you like and save them as a word list, as whole phrases (customhomebuilders) or separate words.
- Check them all as .com in one go.
- The Save and Check buttons stay at the bottom of the window while you scroll.
Just the Website: Advanced adds filters for dictionary words, everyday words, word forms and phrase length, plus a CSV download with every detail. It's free with an account.

List Finder: find ready-made word lists on the web
Somebody has almost always published the list you need, as a CSV or text file on a website. List Finder writes the web search that finds it. Pick a topic, see exactly what it will search for, and open it in Google, Google AI or our own private search engine. Options hide PDFs, domain-for-sale pages and password lists, which otherwise clutter these searches.
List Finder Advanced adds more file types and site filters. The Operator library explains every special search word, and About answers the common questions. Two tabs at the top, Web searches and Scan a website, switch between List Finder and Just the Website.

Name Mashup: join two names into one
Name Mashup joins letters from two words, like two founders' names or a pet's name and a place. It shows four columns side by side (start + start, start + end, end + start and end + end) and tries every letter count, down to a single initial. Each column is ranked easiest to say first, and a Check button under each one runs a .com check on the whole column.
Name word lists now link to it in their Related Tools panel, already filled in with two names from the list.
More ways to start from a list
- New idea pages. Name ideas now include personal name ideas, place name ideas and dictionary word domain names. Each idea page shows real words from its lists as .com names you can check in one click.
- Pick any list on an idea page. Each topic has its own card with a "Use Unique" button and a dropdown of every list in the topic, grouped by sub-topic.
- A page per state. /lists has a page for each state, gathering its city, county and ZIP code lists, and a "Domain name ideas by state" page links them all.
- Brand tag. Brand lists carry a Brand tag that links to every brand list in one place.
- Ideas in the top menu, next to Blog.
Smaller changes
- Better site search. The search box finds list group pages (such as a state page) and puts the closest matches first.
- Change your registrar from the results page. A small Registrar button on the results page switches your default registrar without leaving the search.
- Faster pages. Numeric Domains and Domain Hacks load much faster.
- Easier sign-up and log-in. Login links last 60 minutes, and only the newest one works. Email-link sign-ups get a neutral random username unless you choose one. New-feature emails are now a box you tick, not something we assume. Clearer messages throughout.
- Safer accounts. Failed log-in attempts by someone else no longer lock you out of your own account. Names like "admin" and "support" can't be taken by new sign-ups. Accounts made with an email link (no password) can now delete themselves or set a password from Settings.
- The blog opens links to other sites in a new tab.
