Bulk Domain Name Checker & Domain Name Generator — DNS Lister

Built for founders, developers and domainers who have outgrown a single search box. We're not a registrar — nothing to upsell, just honest availability answers.

Check bulk domain name availability in one pass — fast, free, and without getting blocked mid-search. Build word lists, generate thousands of candidate names 13 different ways, and check every one against the official registry, live — not a stale list.

Registering is free and includes every tool below — Standard members get a 500-word budget to split between two lists (up to 10,000 combinations per search). Upgrade to Premium to search entire word lists with a far higher limit.

Your searches are private — nothing is published unless you press Share.

1. Build Word Lists

Type words in — or, with Premium, paste a batch or upload your own .txt/.csv files. Use your custom lists, or the curated lists already shared globally — most sites don't let you bring your own vocabulary at all. (More below.)

2. Generate candidates

Combine two lists, expand with a thesaurus, mangle a word into leetspeak, swap letters, add prefixes — 13 ways to turn words into domain ideas.

3. Check availability

Checks run on our servers and in your browser at the same time — most tools do one or the other, which puts every user in a single queue behind a single rate limit. Peak measured throughput: ~30,000 lookups in five minutes. Real answers in seconds, not a guess.

How we check, in technical detail

Domain Name Generator Flagship

Pick a left-side word list and a right-side word list — every word from one combined with every word from the other becomes a domain candidate. Combine "blue"/"sky"/"media"-style words into thousands of options across every TLD you choose, checked all at once.

Most domain generators only take a single list of words. The Builder crosses two — and a three-list mode, with per-position prefix & suffix options, is in progress.

Bring your own word lists

2,426 shared word lists already on the site, ready to combine with your own.

Every generator on this page runs on word lists you control — not a fixed dictionary someone else picked. Searching for a client in a niche industry? Upload their vocabulary and every result is on-brand.

  • Create lists your way — type words in one at a time, or (Premium) paste a whole batch or upload a .txt or .csv file and the importer handles the cleanup: de-duplication, lowercasing, and skipping anything that can't appear in a domain name.
  • Manage them like data — every list gets an A–Z letter index, per-letter word counts, search and filters, and a one-click way to send any list straight into the Builder or any tool.
  • Mix private and shared — your lists stay yours; globally shared lists (curated by topic) are ready to combine with them the moment you register.
  • Automate it — power users can import lists through the REST API, straight from a URL or a script.

17 tools for finding a domain

Score a Word

Already have a name in mind? Type it in and see how it scores right now — checked live against the top TLDs, with the points broken down so you can see exactly why.

See a free Score a Word example

TLD Sweep

Set on one name and want it somewhere? Check that word against an entire family of extensions in one pass instead of ticking boxes one at a time.

See a free TLD Sweep example

Anagram Lookup

Type a jumble of letters and see the real words they spell — lwarc is crawl — each one a click away from a domain check.

See a free Anagram Lookup example

Word Pairs (beta)

Hand-picked word pairs to spark a name — biscuit + bandana, pixel + pine. Pick a theme, shuffle, and check any pair in one click.

See a free Word Pairs (beta) example

Bulk Domain Check

Already have a shortlist? Paste it in and check every name across as many TLDs as you want, all in one pass — the verification step at the end of any brainstorm.

See a free Bulk Domain Check example

Letter Count Search

Browse every possible combination at a fixed length (3-6 letters). Short domains are scarce and valuable — this is how you methodically hunt for what's left.

See a free Letter Count Search example

Pronounceable Names Recommended

Invented, speakable brand names in the "Hulu" / "Zara" mold — fresh consonant-vowel-pattern candidates generated on demand, not real words at all.

See a free Pronounceable Names example

Subset Combinations Recommended

Like Word Combinations, but you pick how many of your keywords go into each name — every 2-of-5 or 3-of-5 arrangement, not just all of them at once.

See a free Subset Combinations example

Word Mangle

Your ideal domain is taken — get stylized variants ("to"→"2", "for"→"4", vowel-dropped "flickr"-style names) ranked by how close they stay to the original.

See a free Word Mangle example

Character Swap

Systematically swap one letter at a time to find near-miss variants of a word — also useful for auditing which lookalike/typo domains of your own brand exist.

See a free Character Swap example

Domain Typos

Generate the common keyboard mistakes real people make typing your domain — adjacent-key slips, transpositions, dropped letters, doubled letters.

See a free Domain Typos example

Hyphenated Domains

Got a multi-word phrase where the compact version is taken? See every hyphenation arrangement at once, sorted from fewest hyphens to most.

See a free Hyphenated Domains example

Domain Thesaurus

Swap a word for its synonyms instead of mangling its spelling — keep the meaning, find a name that's actually available. Often the smartest first move.

See a free Domain Thesaurus example

Word Combinations

Have a handful of keywords but no fixed order? Generate every permutation — "blueskymedia", "skymediablue", and everything between — and check them all.

See a free Word Combinations example

Acronym Maker Recommended

Type your club or org name and get every short form that still reads as it — the plain acronym, plus hra / hrvaa / hoodrva-style fallbacks for when the obvious one is taken.

See a free Acronym Maker example

Prepend / Append

The "Get[X]" / "[X]HQ" trick, automated: add curated Tech, Startup, Business, Premium, or Cool-themed words before or after your core word.

See a free Prepend / Append example

Advanced Search

Starts-with, ends-with, contains, length range, wildcard patterns — combine every constraint in one query instead of juggling separate tools.

Why this instead of the big sites?

Most domain-search sites route every lookup through a third party that rate-limits you after a few pages — exactly when a bulk check or a big letter-search gets useful. This app asks the registry itself, with no middleman to throttle you and no "coming soon" placeholders. Every feature on this page is real, working code.

Your searches are yours

Nothing you search is published, sold, or shown to another user unless you press Share. We don't register domains, so we have nothing to gain from the names you find.

Searching for names for a company you haven't launched yet is exactly when this matters. Two things are public on purpose, and we'd rather say so than let you find out later: a search you press Share on gets a public link (that's the point of the button — and it publishes the recipe too: the search name and which word lists it used), and the globally shared Word Lists lists are public by design. Your own lists, and every search you don't share, are neither.
